PEACH FRITTERS image

These are simply delicious.. served with whipped cream or ice cream!

Number Of Ingredients 11

1/2 c sugar
2 large eggs, well beaten
1/3 c butter
2 c flour, unbleached
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 c milk, whole
1/2 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 c fresh chopped peaches
whipped cream

Steps:

  • 1. Cream the butter and sugar, add the eggs and beat thoroughly.
  • 2. Sift dry ingredients together and add the milk slowly.
  • 3. Fold in peaches, lemon juice and vanilla.
  • 4. Drop by teaspoonfuls into hot fat. Fry golden brown. Serve with whipped cream or sprinkle with powdered sugar.
