Pasta With Tuna, Bacon, and Broccoli image

I know how this sounds, but it is actually a really great combination. You can change it up by adding chicken, shrimp or scallops. I also like sauted mushrooms in it. It's great for left over spaghetti noodles when you're tired of plain old marinara.

Time 30m

Yield 6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 12

1/4 cup olive oil
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 cup diced onion
4 minced garlic cloves (you can use less, we're a garlic family)
5 slices cooked bacon, cut into quarter-sized pieces (make it extra crunchy because the olive oil softens it)
2 cups frozen broccoli
2 (6 ounce) cans canned tuna
italian seasoning
fresh ground black pepper
1/4 cup dry white wine (this is approx. it depends on you)
3/4 cup parmesan cheese
1 lb cooked spaghetti

Steps:

  • heat olive oil and saute onion and garlic until soft.
  • add broccoli and tuna, cook until broccoli is tender.
  • add bacon, Italian seasoning, black pepper and wine. Heat through.
  • Add to pasta and toss with remaining olive oil and cheese.
