Pasta with sliced beef image

Number Of Ingredients 11

16 ounces Pasta (angel hair, spaghetti, ziti, penne, fettuccine all work well)
2 tablespoons Olive oil
1 Onion
1 clove Minced garlic
2 teaspoons Paprika
1 pinch Cayenne pepper (optional)
1 pound Beef (I usually use sirloin)
1 tablespoon Dried parsley
1 tablespoon Red wine (optional)
16 ounces Sour cream
1 package Sliced mushrooms

Steps:

  • Start the pasta in a pot of boiling water.
  • While the pasta is cooking, slice the beef as thinly as possible.
  • Slice the onions as thinly as possible and add them to a large skillet with olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced beef, garlic paprika, and cayenne.
  • When the beef is browned, add the sour cream and mushrooms/cream of mushroom.
  • Stir until the sauce is creamy, then add red wine and parsley.
  • Bring to a simmer, and then add the cooked pasta to the sauce.
  • Serve hot
