Steps:
- Cook pasta in large pot of boiling, salted water until al dente; drain and transfer to a large bowl.
- Heat oil in 12" skillet or wide heavy saucepan over medium-high heat. Add garlic, then tomatoes, sugar, 1 tsp. of salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until tomatoes burst and release their juices, creating a sauce, 6-8minutes.
- Toss pasta with tomatoe sauce and basil. Top with parmesan.
