Pasta Tossed with Blue Cheese Sauce image

Fettuccine pasta, ham and pecans are tossed with a sumptuous cream cheese sauce flavored with wine, garlic and blue cheese for an elegant entrée.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1Tbsp. butter or margarine
1cup coarsely chopped leeks
1/4cup coarsely chopped PLANTERS Pecans
1-1/2cups OSCAR MAYER Cooked Ham strips
1/4cup Madeira wine
1clove garlic, minced
1container (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese Spread
2Tbsp. milk
1/2cup ATHENOS Crumbled Blue Cheese
8oz. fettuccine, cooked, drained

Steps:

  • MELT butter in medium skillet. Add leeks and pecans; cook and stir until leeks are tender. Add ham; cook until heated through, stirring occasionally. Set aside.
  • COOK wine and garlic in medium saucepan on low heat 1 min. Add cream cheese spread and milk; cook until cream cheese spread is melted and mixture is well blended, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; stir in blue cheese.
  • PLACE hot fettuccine in large serving bowl. Add ham mixture and cheese sauce; mix lightly.
