Steps:
- 1. Combine beef, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, egg and milk.
- 2. Shape into 3/4-inch balls and chill 2 hours.
- 3. Take out of refrigerator and place in a shallow pan with the oil and bake at 350 degrees for 30 min.
- 4. Prepare sauce by combining chili sauce, jelly and water in a small saucepan.
- 5. Bring to a boil.
- 6. Meantime, drain excess oil from meatballs, cover with sauce and bake an additional 30 min.
- 7. Spoon meatballs into a chafing dish and serve with toothpicks.
