Paprika Chili Steak image

1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon canola oil
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1-1/2 pounds beef flank steak

Steps:

  • In a shallow dish, combine the first eight ingredients; add steak and turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 3 hours or overnight, turning occasionally., Drain and discard marinade. Lightly oil grill rack. Grill steak, covered, over medium-hot heat or broil 4 in. from the heat for 6-8 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a thermometer should read 135°; medium, 140°, medium-well, 145°.
