Papaya Pineapple Smoothie image

Yield makes 3 1/4 cups

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/4 cup chopped papaya
2 cups chopped fresh pineapple
8 ice cubes
1 cup rice milk or almond milk
1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
1/4 cup coconut milk
1 tablespoon finely ground flaxseeds
1/2 teaspoon freshly squeezed lime juice
1/2 teaspoon maple syrup

Steps:

  • Combine all of the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Serve immediately.

  • Add 1 tablespoon of unrefined virgin coconut oil for additional healthy fat and calories.
  • For more protein, add a scoop of whey protein powder.
  • If you use frozen fruit, leave out the ice cubes as the smoothie will be thick enough without them.
