Overnight French Toast image

Number Of Ingredients 13

TOAST:
1 - loaf french bread, sliced
6 large eggs
1 1/2 cup(s) milk
1 1/2 cup(s) half and half
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
1 teaspoon(s) cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon(s) nutmeg
TOPPING:
1 cup(s) brown sugar, packed
1 cup(s) pecans, chopped
1/2 cup(s) butter or margarine, softened
2 tablespoon(s) maple syrup

Steps:

  • For the toast: Arrange bread in a lightly greased 13x9 inch baking dish and set aside.
  • Beat remaining ingredients together; pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • The next morning, combine topping ingredients and spread over bread.
  • Bake for 45-55 minutes at 350 degrees. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
