Overnight Cinnamon Coffee Cake image

Great tasting moist cake

3/4 c butter, softened
1 c sugar
2 large eggs
1 c 8oz. cultured sour cream
2 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp ground nutmeg
3/4 c packed brown sugar
1/2 c walnuts, chopped
1 tsp ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • 1. In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light & fluffy.
  • 2. Add eggs, one at a time beating after each addition. Beat in sour cream.
  • 3. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, salt, and nutmeg. Add to creamed mixture and mix well.
  • 4. Pour batter into greased and floured 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • 5. Combine brown sugar, walnuts, and cinnamon; mix well, and sprinkle over batter. Cover and chill overnight.
  • 6. Uncover and bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 40-45 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean.
