OVEN BARBECUE BRISKET image

5-6 lb. beef brisket trimmed of visible fat
3 ounces liquid smoke
onion salt
celery salt
garlic powder
salt
black pepper
worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • Oven Barbecue Brisket 5-6 pound brisket --- I have Larry trim the visible fat off the brisket; sprinkle both sides with onion salt or powder, celery salt and garlic salt or powder; add 3 ounces or so of liquid smoke and marinate overnight in the refrigerator. To bake, I take it out of the marinade and sprinkle both sides with salt and pepper and sprinkle with Worcestershire sauce; I seal the baking pan with aluminum foil and bake at 275 degrees for around six hours. Take it out of the pan to cool. Then slice it and put in a fresh baking dish and cover with your favorite barbecue sauce. Put it back in the oven to heat and it is ready to serve.
