Yield 1 10 " cake

Number Of Ingredients 14

Cake:
1 cup Butter or Oleo
2 cups Sugar
3 cups Vanilla Wafers (crushed)
1 cup Walnuts (chopped)
6 ea. Eggs
1/2 cup Milk
3 1/2 oz Coconut (flaked)
Frosting:
2 Tbls Flour
1/2 cup Milk
1/4 lb Butter or Oleo
1/2 cup Sugar
1 tsp Flavoring

Steps:

  • Cake: - Cream together butter and sugar to light. - Add eggs one at a time, beating to light and fluffy after each addition. - Add crumbs alternatly with the milk, and mix well. - Stir in coconut and nuts. - Spoon into a greased 10 inch tart pan. - Bake 300* for 1 1/2 hour. Frosting: - Boil together flour and milk, and cool. - Cream together Butter, sugar, and flavoring. - Add cooled flour mixture to sugar and cream well.
