Orange Pecan Cookies image

These are really good and fairly quick to make.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 c margarine
1 c brown sugar, packes
1 egg
1 tsp grated orange rind
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 3/4 c flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 c chopped pecans

Steps:

  • 1. Mix margarine,sugar, egg, orange rind, and vanilla.
  • 2. Blend in flour, salt, and baking soda. Stir in pecans
  • 3. Form into rolls 2 1/2 inches across. Wrap in waxed paper and chill until firm.
  • 4. Slice 1/8 inch thick and bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 400* for 8 to 10 minutes. This makes 3 dozen cookies.
