Steps:
- Place dates, brown sugar, water and butter in a saucepan and simmer until dates are soft. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips; stir until melted.
- Add eggs, orange juice and milk; stir well. Combine baking soda, flour, salt and walnuts and fold into date mixture. Pour into a greased 13x9x2-inch baking pan.
- Bake in a 350°F preheated oven for 30 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
