Omg Meatloaf image

The title says it all. Some in my family don't care for chunks of onion in meatloaf, so the use of onion powder and dicing the green peppers small take care of that. The mix of sausage with the ground beef is crucial, and the Worcestershire is the killer ingredient.

Number Of Ingredients 11

2 lbs ground beef
1 lb sausage, such as jimmy dean (not links, but the kind you make into patties)
2 eggs
29 ounces diced tomatoes, divided use
2/3 cup uncooked oatmeal
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
3 teaspoons onion powder
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
3/4 teaspoon black pepper
6 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 green peppers, diced

Steps:

  • Beat eggs.
  • Add 1 1/2 cans tomatoes (reserve 1/2 can for top of loaves).
  • Add Worcestershire, onion powder, salt and pepper.
  • Mix above with meats, oatmeal, and bread crumbs.
  • Mix in green pepper.
  • Shape into two loaves.
  • Place in loaf pans sprayed with Pam.
  • Arrange the rest of canned tomatoes on top of loaves.
  • Bake at 350 for about 1 hr and 15 minutes.
