Another country-style dish, handed down for generations, everyone loves it. It's so simple and has so few ingredients, just apples, butter, cinnamon, brown sugar and a pinch of salt. The hardest part is peeling the apples (AND trying not to eat more than your fair share!)

Steps:
- Gather and prep ingredients.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of the butter in nonstick or cast iron skillet over medium/medium high heat.
- Add sliced apples and pinch of salt; saute (pan fry) stirring & turning apples frequently, but not constantly, until most slices are browned some and have softened (about 10 minutes.)
- Reduce heat; add cinnamon, remaining tablespoon butter and brown sugar.
- Stir and cook until brown sugar is dissolved and apples appear reduced in volume (about 2 minutes.)
- Remove from heat. Serve. Cover and refrigerate leftovers.
