Old Fashioned Americana Meatloaf image

I love love love meatloaf served with mashed potatoes. This is one of my favorite recipes and the glaze on top is so good. It also has the best aroma in your kitchen. This is the All American Meatloaf!

Number Of Ingredients 13

MEATLOAF
1 lb 80/20 ground beef (you may use ground turkey)
1 1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp black pepper
1/2 c chopped onion
1/2 c chopped green bell pepper
1 egg, lightly beaten
8 oz canned diced tomatoes with juice
1/2 c quick cooking oats
GLAZE
1/3 c ketchup
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp yellow mustard

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • 2. Meatloaf: Mix all meatloaf ingredients well and place in a baking dish. Shape into a loaf.
  • 3. Mix ingredients for topping and spread on top of loaf. Bake for 1 hour.
