I decided to make this recipe I found on an old recipe card from my card catalogue..They turned out delicious. Some I frosted with Irish Cream frosting and others I left plain...my family and I love them ,why not give them a try..the mixing goes fast and they will be done in an hour...start to finish..

Steps:
- Heat oven to 350^. Cream margarine and sugars together,until light and fluffy;using electric mixer,large bowl. Then add eggs and vanilla and combine well. Next combine and add flour, baking soda, baking powder and cinnamon and combine.Mix well.
- Combine oatmeal,nuts and dates, mix to separate,then add by hand to the batter. Use a soup spoon or Tablespoon to drop batter onto ungreased cookie sheets. These will spread a little. Bake for 11 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Let set on cookie sheet for 30 seconds. Transfer to paper to cool. Frost if desired.
- Irish Cream Drizzle: 2 cup powdered sugar dash of salt 1 teaspoon corn syrup Irish cream coffee mate liquid Combine ingredients and stir well. Adding enough Irish Cream coffee mate to make a thick drizzle. Spoon mixture into plastic sandwich bag and swirl over cookies as desired..Enjoy.
