Steps:
- 1. Grease a 9 x 13 pan. Pour boiling water over oats, cover and let stand for 15 mins. Cream together both sugars with the butter, add eggs one at a time till well mixed. Stir together flour, soda, cinnamon and pepper. Add to butter mixture alternately with the oat mixture.Pour into pan. Bake 25 mins
- 2. Topping: 3 tbsps butter 1 cup chopeed nuts, optional 3/4 cup brown sugar, 3 tbsps milk, Mix together , spoon over hot cake and bake for approx 10 - 15 mins till bubbly. If you find that the butter is too hard to mix with the milk just soften in the mocrowave. It doesn't matter if it is melted a little but do not melt completely.
