Don't ask me who dubbed this Possum Pie or why. But putting chocolate pudding, cream cheese, pecans, and whipped cream together in a pie shell... who cares what you call it besides to die for? Number Of Ingredients 10

1 9" pie shell
1/4 c ground pecans
2 (3-oz.) packages cream cheese
1/2 c powdered sugar
1 pkg instant chocolate pudding
1 pkg instant vanilla pudding
2 c cold milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 pt whipping cream, whipped
12 pecan halves

Steps:

  • 1. Roll out pastry on 1/4 c. ground pecans before baking, or use store bought pie shell.
  • 2. Cream together powdered sugar and cream cheese until smooth. Set aside.
  • 3. Mix pudding mixes with milk and vanilla extract. Beat on low speed for two minutes.
  • 4. Spread cream cheese mixture on cooled pie shell and pudding mixture over cream cheese layer.
  • 5. Top with whipped cream. Arrange pecan halves evenly over whipped cream.
  • 6. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
