This is the easiest,tastiest,flakiest pie crust you'll ever make and it's really no fail.I used to listen to a cooking radio show and heard this recipe in the early 1980's and I still make it. Number Of Ingredients 7

4 c flour
1 3/4 c shortening
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 egg
1/2 c cold water

Steps:

  • 1. Mix flour,sugar and salt.Add shortening with a fork and mix into small crumbs.Beat vinegar,egg and water together.Add to dry mixture and stir well to combine.Mold into a ball,flatten.Chill at least 15 mins. Refrigerate 3 days or freeze. Makes 5 9-inch crusts.
