New Orleans Shrimp & Squash Bisque image

How to make New Orleans Shrimp & Squash Bisque

Number Of Ingredients 12

2 - onions
2 teaspoon(s) worcestershire sauce
2 - potatoes, diced
4 - yellow squash
2 tablespoon(s) butter, unsalted
pinch(es) pepper
pinch(es) salt
1 teaspoon(s) hot pepper sauce
2 tablespoon(s) dill
2 - carrots, thinly sliced
6 cup(s) chicken stock
1/2 pound(s) shrimp, cooked

Steps:

  • In a large sauce pan, saute onions in butter, add stock, squash, potatoes and carrots.
  • Cook until vegetables are tender; cool and puree in blender.
  • Return bisque to stove and add remaining ingredients; bring to boil for 2 minutes, then serve.
  • Add dollop of sour cream and a sprinkle of dill weed for garnish, if desired.
