Nelda's Cream Cheese Apple Cake image

I had a half of block of cream cheese and a can of apples that I couldn't decide what to use them in so this is the recipe I came up with. I used pumpkin spice mix in mine because I really like the flavor of it, but you could use apple spice mix or what ever spice you would prefer. I ate a slice while it was still warm and it was...

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 c all purpose flour
1/2 c sefl rising flour
4 oz cream cheese, room temperature
1 1/2 c sugar
1 stick butter, softened
3 eggs
2 Tbsp pumpking spice mix(or apple spice, or your own mixture of spices)
1/2(15oz) can(s) apple slices, cut in bite size pieces

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Spray a loaf pan with cooking spray and dust with flour. Cream butter and cream cheese together, add sugar and eggs, then add both flours and spice. Stir in apples. Pour into prepared loaf pan and bake 1 hour to 1 hour and 10 minutes, check for doneness after 1 hour.
