Nana's Coleslaw image

1 medium cabbage, chopped
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
1 cup sugar, divided
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup salad oil
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon celery salt

Steps:

  • Mix cabbage, onion and green pepper with 3/4 cup sugar and set aside.
  • Mix remaining 1/4 cup sugar, vinegar, oil, dry mustard and celery salt and bring to a boil.
  • Pour over cabbage and chill at least 4 hours before serving. Keep refrigerated.
