Steps:
- Bring to a boil water and quick oats.
- Let stand 15 mins.
- Cream together 1/2 cup butter or margarine, brown sugar, white sugar And 2 well beaten eggs. Mix with oatmeal.
- Sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt
- Add to mix and beat well.
- Pour into a 13 X 9 in. baking pan.
- Bake 350 degrees F 30 to 35 mins.
- FROSTING mix together melted butter or margarine, canned cream or milk, vanilla, and brown sugar.
- Spread on cake brown in oven for a few mins.
- Can add rasins or cocconut.
