Mushroom Crescents image

I love appetizers and if you love mushrooms this one is delicious. If you are in need of an interesting and new appetizer, this is it!

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 can(s) 8 count crescent rolls
1 - 8 oz. cream cheese
1 can(s) 4.5 oz. mushrooms
2 - green onions
1 tablespoon(s) dill, fresh
1 - egg, beaten
1 tablespoon(s) poppy seeds

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Roll out crescents to seal perforations.
  • Blend together cream cheese, mushrooms, dill and green onions.
  • Spread over dough.
  • Roll as a jellyroll.
  • Freeze for 15 minutes.
  • Slice into 1 inch pieces.
  • Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle poppy seeds over top.
  • Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 7 - 8 minutes.
  • If you are preparing for a party, keep cut pieces refrigerated, and just before guests arrive, brush with egg and sprinkle seeds then bake. This way they are nice an hot when your guests arrive.
