Mom's Pepper Steak image

Number Of Ingredients 12

2 lb beef round steak strips
1 large onion
1 large can tomatoes
3 Tbsp soy sauce
1/4 c water
1 tsp salt
1/4 c butter
small sprinkle of galic
2-3 green peppers cut in strips
2 beef bouillon
1 Tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Saute beef in butter with garlic for 2 minutes. Remove meat and add onion, pepper; saute about 2 minutes. Return meat to skillet along with tomatoes and bouillon; simmer 5 minutes. Blend together cornstarch, sugar, soy sauce, salt and water. Stir into meat mixture until thickened.
  • 2. Serve over mashed potatoes or cooked rice,
