Mom's Mocha Chocolate Butter Frosting image

My family LOVES this frosting. It's one of their favorites. The key is using leftover coffee and the food processor. The food processor makes the frosting taste like fudge candy...yum!

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 stick(s) unsalted butter
2/3 cup(s) hershey's cocoa powder
1 box(es) (1 pound) powdered sugar
2 teaspoon(s) vanilla
1/4 cup(s) cold coffee

Steps:

  • Using a food processor, cream the stick of butter. Add the cocoa and pulse until combined. Scrape down sides and then add the powdered sugar, vanilla and coffee.
  • Scrape down the sides and add more coffee a tablespoon at a time, if needed, to produce a frosting that's of spreadable consistency (careful to not make it too juicy).
  • Makes enough frosting to frost one cake or 24 cupcakes.
