MOM'S DEVIL'S FOOD CAKE image

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 ½ cups flour
1 ¼ cup sugar
½ cup cocoa
1 ¼ teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk
2/3 cup oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs

Steps:

  • 1. Heat oven to 350. 2. In mixer blend all the ingredients together at low speed until moistened. Beat 3 minutes at medium speed. 3. Pour into prepared pans. 4. For 9 x 13 pan grease and flour entire pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes and for round cake pans grease and flour the bottoms only and bake for 25 to 30 minutes. 5. Cool 10 minutes and then remove cakes from pans.
