Mom's Blueberry Cake image

Growing up we called this "blueberry pudding" and it was eaten in a bowl covered with sugar and milk. I never ate it that way, it's good all by itself! My grandson requests this for his birthday cake!

Number Of Ingredients 10

4 cup(s) all purpose flour
1/4 cup(s) butter, softened
2 cup(s) sugar
2 - eggs, slightly beaten
2 teaspoon(s) baking powder
2 teaspoon(s) vanilla
1 pint(s) blueberries
1 1/2 cup(s) milk
1 pinch(es) salt
- sanding sugar or regular sugar

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients in a bowl, except blueberries.
  • Gently fold in blueberries with a spoon or spatula. Pour into greased 9 x 13 baking pan. Sprinkle with sugar if using.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes until toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean.
