4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons ground cardamom
1 cup butter or 1 cup margarine
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups sour cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
powdered sugar, for topping

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350ºF.
  • Sift flour, baking soda and cardamon together.
  • Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  • Add eggs, beat well.
  • Add flour mixture and sour cream alternately and beat well.
  • Pour into well greased bundt pan.
  • Bake one hour.
  • Cool 5 minutes.
  • Remove cake from pan and cool on wire rack. Dust cake lightly with powdered sugar.
