Steps:
- Put the corn cobs, with their husks and silks completely in tact, directly into the microwave on a dry or slightly dampened paper towel. The sealed husks will allow the corn to steam in its own moisture, resulting in a very fresh, sweet flavor. Timing depends on the power of your microwave and size of the ears, but the following is a very nice guide to cooking times. For 1 ear: microwave for 90 seconds For 2 ears: 3-4 minutes For 3 ears: 5-6 minutes For 4 ears: 7-8 minutes For 6 ears: (how big is your microwave?) 8-9 minutes Let the ears stand for 5 minutes, then carefully remove the husks and silks. Careful--they will be very hot. We hold the cobs in potholders for this part.
