Mexico City Maseca Cornbread image

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup Maseca
4 tablespoons Sugar
1 tablespoons Baking powder
1/2 teaspoon Salt
2 pieces Eggs
1 cup Milk
1/4 cup Vegetable oil
1 can Whole kernel corn, drained

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F, 220 degrees C. Grease 8 inch square pan.
  • Combine flour, masa, sugar, baking powder and a medium bowl.
  • In a 2 cup measuring cup, in this order, put milk, oil and eggs, combine.
  • Add liquid to dry, stir little to combine well.
  • Fold in corn.
