Steps:
- Mix sugar and butter. Mix in egg and flavorings. Measure flour by dipping or sifting. Blend dry ingredients; stir in. Refrigerate 2 to 3 hours. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Divide dough in half and roll out on lightly floured pastry cloth to 3/16-inch. Cut with floured cookie cutters. Sprinkle with sugar. Place on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake 7 to 8 minutes or until delicately golden.
