How to make Martha Washington Balls

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 cup butter, softened
8 ounces sweetened condensed Milk
2 lbs confectioners' sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups pecans, finely chopped
1 (24oz) pkg. sweetened flaked coconut
2 (24 oz) pkg. chocolate block
1 (16 oz) carton candied cherries (diced)

Steps:

  • combine all ingredients (except chocolate) shape coconut mixture into walnut-size balls. freeze until firm
  • Melt chocolate in double boiler
  • Pierce ball with tooth pick, dip in chocolate
  • Lay on wax paper, refrigerate until set
