Marshmallow Popcorn Balls image

Everybody loves these. They are easier to eat than the popcorn balls made with syrup. Great for Christmas using red and green M & M's. Or everyday use peanuts for the add ins.

Number Of Ingredients 4

8 quart(s) popped popcorn, not salted or buttered
1 stick(s) butter (1/2 cup)
1 pound(s) marshmallows
1/2 cup(s) m & m's or peanuts

Steps:

  • Place popped corn in a large bowl. Set aside. Melt butter and marshmallows in microwave or top of a double boiler.
  • Pour marshmallow/butter mixture over popcorn. Add M&M's or peanuts and mix well.
  • Quickly form popcorn mixture into balls and set aside to cool and firm up.
