Number Of Ingredients 6

Balloon
Empty toilet paper tube (just the cardstock tube)
Rubber band
Masking or duct tape
JET-PUFFED Miniature Marshmallows
Stop watch, scale, and measuring tape if you want to calculate the kinetic energy

Steps:

  • Tie a knot at the end of your balloon.
  • Cut off the tip of your balloon, about 1/3 of the way down.
  • Position the open-cut end of you balloon around one end of your toilet paper tube.
  • Secure the balloon with tape.
  • Load your launcher with a JET-PUFFED Miniature Marshmallow.
  • Build some potential energy by pulling the knot back on your balloon - then FIRE AWAY! - your marshmallow launcher converts potential energy into kinetic energy and your marshmallow flies through the air!
