Machus Scones image

Number Of Ingredients 9

18 ounces All purpose flour
1 stick butter
1 cup cream
1/4 ounce salt
1 tablespoon rum
4 ounces sugar
1/2 cup whole eggs 1/2 cup should be about 1/4 pound.
1/3 ounce baking powder
5 ounces currants

Steps:

  • Cream butter and sugar till white and fluffy. (4-5 Min?).
  • Add eggs and mix till incorporated.
  • Add salt, rum and cream, and mix till incorporated.
  • Mix baking powder into flour, and add to batter. Mix till incorporated.
  • Add currants and mix in.
  • Grease cookie sheets, and scoop batter onto them. Somewhere between 2 Tbsp and 1/4 cup per scone?
  • Bake at 375 for 20 min or until they're light golden on the top, and a bit darker on the bottom.
  • Cool on wire rack.
