Loaded Burgers with Loaded Mashed Potatoes image

These cheese and bacon-stuffed burgers are served with Betty Crocker® Ultimate loaded mashed potatoes for a doubly delicious dinner solution!

2 lb extra-lean (at least 90%) ground beef
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
6 cubes (1 inch) American cheese (about 4 oz)
1/4 cup crumbled cooked bacon
1 box (4.9 oz) Betty Crocker™ Ultimate loaded mashed potatoes
Water, butter and milk called for on potato mix box
1 pouch Cheese Sauce (from potato mix box)
6 tablespoons sour cream
3/4 cup French-fried onions

Steps:

  • Heat gas or charcoal grill. In large bowl, mix beef, Worcestershire sauce and garlic salt. Shape mixture into 12 thin patties, about 4 inches in diameter. Place cheese cube on 6 of the patties; top each with bacon. Top each with 1 remaining patty; press edges to seal.
  • Place patties on grill over medium heat. Cover grill; cook 12 to 15 minutes, turning once, until meat thermometer inserted in center of patties reads 160°F.
  • Make mashed potatoes as directed on box, using water, butter, milk and Cheese Sauce pouch. Top each burger with sour cream and onions. Serve with mashed potatoes.
