Lazy Chicken In Herbed Sauce image

Last month, at an antique auction, I bought a maple cookbook stand full of vintage cookbooks. The books start in the mid 1930's and chronicles the owner's interest in American food. This unbound 64 page version of "Yankee's Main Dish Church Supper Cookbook" contains excerpts from the 238 page original cookbook published in 1980. I would love to find the original cookbook. Many of these recipes evolved over time as they were passed on down through families and friends, from generation to generation. Lazy Chicken is an example of such recipes. The simple ingredients create an herbed flavored Hollandaise - like sauce. Posted to "Cookbooks and Cooking Tools".
