Lasagna image

Linda Waisner gave me this recipe and it's one that you don't have to boil your noodles before making your lasagne. It's really good and I always have lots of compliments when i fix it - which is often!

1 1/2 lb ground beef, browned and drained
1 Tbsp basil
2 can(s) stewed tomatoes, italian-style
1/8 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
2 can(s) tomato paste, 6 oz each
2 c cottage cheese
1/2 c parmesan cheese (powdered kind)
1 tsp salt
2 Tbsp parsley flakes
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp pepper
4 c mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 box lasagna noodles, uncooked

Steps:

  • 1. Brown ground beef, drain and return to the pan. Simmer together, hamburger, basil, stewed tomatoes, garlic powder, salt and tomato paste. Set aside
  • 2. In a separate bowl, mix: Cottage Cheese, Parmesan Cheese, salt, Parsley Flakes, Eggs and Pepper. Set aside.
  • 3. Preheat oven to 350. Grease your pan. Put a small amount of meat sauce in the bottom of your pan. Begin filling your 9 x 13 pan with a layer of uncooked noodles, 1/2 meat sauce, 1/2 cheese filing and 1 cup grated Mozerella Cheese. Do it all over again, ending up with Mozerella Cheese.
  • 4. Bake 30 minutes. Take out of oven and let set one hour. Return to oven, leave uncovered and bake another 15 minutes. Serve!
