LARGE PAN BROWNIES image

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 ½ cup sifted all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups granulated sugar
½ cup cocoa
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup oil
4 eggs
¼ cup cold water
½ cup or more chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Put all ingredients in bowl in order given. Beat on low speed or by hand until smooth (do not over beat!) Turn batter into 13 x 9 x 2 inch greased pan. Bake for 30 minutes (no longer). Cool and frost. Frosting Melt 2 squares unsweetened chocolate in top of double boiler. Stir in 1 cup icing sugar, 1 egg beaten, 2 tablespoons butter, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Remove from heat at once and stir. Cool a little before spreading on brownies.
