KNOEPHLA SOUP image

Number Of Ingredients 15

4 cups water
4 cups chicken broth
1 large onion, diced
1 stalk celery, diced
2 cups potatoes, diced
2 bay leaves
2 chicken bouillon cubes
1 tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
½ tsp garlic powder
1 cup cream
Knoephla Dumplings
1 cups flour
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt

Steps:

  • Mix flour, salt and baking powder together to make fairly stiff dough. Add enough milk to make dough stiff. Cut in pieces directly into simmering soup. In soup pot add water and broth, and then add onion, potatoes, bouillon cubes and spices. Boil until potatoes are done, about 12-15 minutes. Add cream and knoephfla. Simmer 30-40 minutes
