KILLER NOODLE KUGEL image

Number Of Ingredients 10

1/2 lb medium wide egg noodles
1 lb cream ch soften(rm temp)
1/2 lb plus 3 tbsp butter rm temp(soften)
1 1/3 c sugar
1 pint sour cream
1tsp vanilla
8 lg eggs
1/2 c golden raisins soaked in applejack
4 oz walnits
1 tsp cinnamom

Steps:

  • 1. ck noodles --drain & place in a 4 qt bowl 2.Cream cream cheese & 1/2 lb butter in mixer(use processor if 14 cup)scrape down sides 3. add 1 cup sugar and mix until well blended 4.add sour cream,vanilla and eggs-one at a time mix until well blended( add to processor bowl & blend until well mixed) 5.Fold in noodles & raisins(drained) 6. grease 13x9 dish w/ about 1 tbsp soften butter-pour in mixture--it will almost overflow 7. cover w/ film -refrig overnight 8.remove 1 hr before baking -preheat oven 325 convection bake for 50 min. 9. COMBINE WALNUTS, 1/3 C SUGAR & CINNAMON SPRINKLE ON TOP OF KUGEL--DOT W/ 2 TBSP BUTTER BAKE ANOTHER 20 MINUTES 10. let sit 15-20 min before serving-CAN BE MADE AHEAD AND FROZEN(that is best)
