KFC Coleslaw (copycat) image

I always loved KFC coleslaw. Our local KFC is no longer in business, so when I found this recipe on a Facebook group I belong to, I was very excited! Now I can get my fix whenever I crave it! :)

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/2 c mayo
1/4 c buttermilk
1 1//2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 Tbsp lemon juice (doesn't have to be fresh)
1/3 c sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp celery seed
16 oz shredded bagged coleslaw mix

Steps:

  • 1. Whisk all but coleslaw together. Then add coleslaw mix to sauce until nicely blended. Refrigerate 1-4 days. Mix well again just before serving.
  • 2. Note: original recipe said refrigerate "for 4 to 1 day". I assumed it was a typo!
