KATHY'S KALICO BEANS image

Number Of Ingredients 13

1/2 # Ground Beef
1/2 # Bacon
1 Med. Onion
1 Can Lima Beans, Drained
1 Can Red Kidney Beans, Drained
1 Can Pork & Beans, Drained (Reserve some liquid-for use if beans become too dry.)
1 Can Baked Beans, Drained
2 tsps. Yellow Mustard
3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
2 tsps. Vinegar
Dash Worcestshire Sauce
1/4 Cup Molasses
Salt to taste

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef over med. heat - season with salt and pepper. Drain. Saute bacon, over med. heat, with chopped onion until slightly browned - be careful not to burn onion. Drain if necessary. Place cooked ground beef and bacon mixture in large casserole. Add all other ingredients and mix well. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 mins. covered, remove cover and bake 30 minutes more. May cook in crockpot - follow above directions but cook on high for one hour, stir, and continue to cook for 2 to 3 hours on low.
