I went online to find a chex mix recipe to use as favors for a luncheon we were having. This is so awesome...you will not be able to stop eating it.

Time 1h25m

Number Of Ingredients 15

1 lb bacon (approx, up to 1/2 c drippings)
1/2 c butter
2 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp celery salt
1/4 tsp ground sage
1/2 tsp lawry's seasoned salt
2 c dry roasted peanuts
1 c cashew pieces
2 c pretzels
5 c corn chex
3 c rice chex
1 c wheat chex
2 c cheerios toasted oat cereal

Steps:

  • 1. Fry bacon until it's nice and crisp. 1 lb. of bacon will yield between 1/3 to 1/2 c of drippings. It depends on the bacon you use.
  • 2. Place cooked bacon in a container and reserve it for another use. It's the leftover drippings you're after.
  • 3. Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
  • 4. Melt the butter and bacon drippings together in a saucepan, then stir in the seasonings to make a nice, buttery mix.
  • 5. In a large bowl, combine all the remaining ingredients and gradually stir in the buttery seasoning mix until the dry ingredients are evenly coated.
  • 6. Spread on a cookie sheet and bake for 1 hr, turning every 15 minutes. Spread on paper towel to cool.
