Java-Soy Glazed Pork Chops image

The java-soy glaze makes it all sound very fancy, but in fact these pork chops can be made with pantry ingredients in less than a half hour.

1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1-1/2 tsp. cornstarch
1/3 cup brewed strong GEVALIA French Roast
2 Tbsp. lite soy sauce
4 tsp. white wine vinegar
4 boneless pork chops (1 lb.), 3/4 inch thick

Steps:

  • Heat grill to medium-high heat.
  • Mix sugar and cornstarch in medium saucepan until blended. Add coffee, soy sauce and vinegar; mix well.
  • Cook on medium heat 4 min. or until mixture comes to boil and thickens, stirring frequently.
  • Grill chops 3 min. on each side. Brush with half the coffee mixture; grill 4 to 5 min. or until chops are done (145ºF), turning and brushing occasionally with remaining coffee mixture.
