Jamaican Jerk Seasoning image

This is a perfect spice blend for grilled food such as poultry, pork, seafood, etc.; a great recipe to have.

Number Of Ingredients 14

1 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp brown sugar (substitute coconut sugar)
2 tsp cayenne pepper
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp ground himalayan sea salt
1 1/2 tsp ground thyme
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground allspice
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cloves

Steps:

  • 1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Transfer to an airtight container. Yields 6 1/2 tbsp.
  • 2. To make a rub; use 2 tbsp. of canola oil or other flavorless oil with 2 1/2 tbsp. of Jamaican Jerk Seasoning and whisk until well mixed. Apply generously on protein of your choice.
