Italian Meatballs image

My son loves meatballs...has to have them with his spaghetti! These are excellent meatballs and go well with pasta or by themselves as he would tell you!!

Number Of Ingredients 13

1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 lb ground pork
1/3 c dry bread crumbs
4 clove garlic, minced
2 eggs, lightly beaten
2 green onions, minced
1 small yellow onion, diced
3 Tbsp grated parmesan cheese
3 Tbsp grated romano cheese
3 Tbsp minced fresh parsley
3 Tbsp minced fresh basil
salt and pepper to own specific tastes
1 c olive oil

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 400.
  • 2. Roll the mixture into 1 1/2" balls.
  • 3. Pour olive oil on shallow baking pan and place meatballs on top; swirl pan around to coat meatballs in oil.
  • 4. Bake meatballs for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown, but not cooked completely through. (unless eating by themselves)
  • 5. Remove meatballs from oil, drain on paper towels and stir into favorite pasta sauce.
